The OÖ Energiesparverband organised the International Clean Energy Hackathon in Linz on 14-15 November 2022. It was part of the EU funded project Urbantech and organised after a European Open Call on ideas for digital solutions for clean energy challenges.
31 teams from more than 10 countries were selected to work on 20 different challenges set by partner companies of the Cleantech-Cluster Energy. Focus areas included artificial intelligence, robotics, advanced sensors, big data, forecasting, predictive maintenance and drones.
The innovative solutions supporting the energy transition were presented in a final pitching session, where also the 5 winning teams were awarded. In the next phase, about 10 of the teams will receive financial support from Urbantech project to further develop their solution.
